Learn at Perth Museum

The new Museum will have a dedicated learning and activity space for school, community, and educational groups.

Our Learning team have been busy developing and testing new tours, interactive workshops, and activities for schools, families, and educational groups of all ages, interests, and abilities.

From Picts to Victorians, from world cultures to local studies, from science to storytelling, Perth Museum will have everything your group needs to explore Scotland’s story.

Learning and community groups will be welcome to visit the entire Museum including the permanent galleries, temporary exhibitions, and the Stone of Destiny. More information on how to book will be available soon.

Check back soon for more updates on what the new Museum has to offer your learning group, or get in touch with us.

Young People

If you are a young person aged 16 to 25 and are looking for opportunities to get involved with the new Museum, get in touch at learning@culturepk.org.uk to find out about volunteering opportunities and our new Young Person’s Collective.

Thanks to generous funding from the Gannochy Trust, we are currently working with 9 partner schools across Perth and Kinross to test and develop new museum workshops, classroom activities, outreach kits, digital resources, and teacher CPD sessions all linked to the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence.

If you are a teacher or educator and would like to learn more about how the new Perth Museum can support your teaching when we open on Saturday 30 March 2024, please get in touch using the contact form below (goes to learning@culturepk.org.uk):
