An update on the Stone of Destiny

The wait is nearly over. Today we can reveal that the Stone of Destiny Experience at Perth Museum will reopen to the public next week on Thursday 9 October at 12pm. Please note the Museum itself will open at the later time of 12pm on that day to enable staff training.

The Stone of Destiny will continue to be free for all to view, but with a few changes in place.

We’re making it easier to visit than ever before by abolishing the need for online pre-booking. You can now book any timeslot of your choice simply by visiting the front desk on the day of your visit (groups of 10+ will still need to book in advance, see this page for more information).

Our friendly staff will now be undertaking bag searches for all visitors to the Stone of Destiny experience, to ensure everyone’s safety and convenience. Please arrive at the Stone of Destiny entrance at least 5 minutes before your allotted time to ensure you don’t miss your slot.
