We are delighted to report that one of our Perth Museum Project colleagues, Sharon Pisani, has entered a film about her work with us to the AVICOM Festival, at the 27th ICOM General Meeting (this year in Dubai), in November 2025.
Sharon is a PhD student in the Computer Science Department at St Andrews University. She and the Department’s Dr Alan Miller have been invaluable partners in the creating of the Museum’s interpretation around the use of colour on Pictish Stones. In addition to creating a colour projection for the St Madoes cross-slab they created an on-screen colour exploration and an immersive historical environment for the St Madoes and Inchyra Stones.
Sharon has created her short two-minute film, which you can access below. It will be screened as part of the AVICOM (the ICOM International Committee for Audiovisual, New Technologies and Social Media) Festival at the ICOM Annual Conference. ICOM, the International Council of Museums, is a global non-governmental, network of museums and museum professionals that advocates the research, conservation, continuation and communication to society of the world’s natural and cultural heritage, present and future, tangible and intangible. We wish Sharon all the best in the competition.
